11th International Conference of Maritime Law
Welcome to the website of the 11th International Conference of Maritime Law
Piraeus, 2-4 October 2025
The Piraeus Bar Association and the Organizing Committee are happy to welcome you to the website of the 11th International Conference of Maritime Law.
The forthcoming Conference is the sequel of an internationally well-known and prestigious tradition, established 33 years ago by the Piraeus Bar Association, which provides the framework for the meeting at regular intervals of maritime academics, practitioners, public officers and experts from all over the world and the fruitful exchange of ideas on topics of high theoretical and practical international interest.
Through the organization of Maritime Law conferences, the Piraeus Bar Association successfully bridges legal science with the shipping industry and the economy, demonstrating in practice its significant scientific as well as broader social role.
Piraeus, one of the largest ports in the Mediterranean and an international shipping hub, is the natural home of this institution.
The 11th International Conference of Maritime Law will be held in Piraeus from 2nd to 4th October 2025. The subject of the forthcoming Conference is “Maritime Risks, Revisited”.
The Organizing Committee of the 11th International Conference has opted for the physical presence of foreign and Greek speakers, with the aim of ensuring better coordination, on one hand, and the institution’s prestige and character as a forum of interactive scientific dialogue and fruitful exchange of ideas among practitioners, on the other. The participants will be able to join the conference in a hybrid way (either in person, at the venue where the event will be held, or online).
We hope to once again meet the high expectations of the speakers, sponsors, and participants in our International Conference.
Looking forward to welcoming you in Piraeus!
