11th International Conference on Maritime Law
The 11th International Conference will be held in Piraeus on 2-4 October 2025 and its subject is:
“Maritime Risks, Revisited”
Under that heading, the Conference will cover, in 5 systematic sections, a wide range of (classic and modern) topics of great interest in law, regulation and practice; it will include, inter alia, the role of coastal states and flag states in both generating and addressing new risks, including the tools provided by the international Law of the Sea; complex issues arising from collision, salvage, and general average in both their substantive and insurance dimensions; liability (civil and criminal) arising from shipwrecks and ship recycling; the risks for seafarers; green shipping; emerging risks related to air pollution, artificial intelligence, and automation, as well as the international and EU rules that aim to regulate them etc..
